MAKE A PROMO KIT SING

The music business is tough, especially in a culturally saturated place like Portland, OR.  You have to be aggressive in self-promotion and adept at tooting your own horn to get gigs and radio play. In this digital era, music sharing has become paramount for independent artists to get their songs heard.  Having a sound marketing plan can be instrumental to growing an audience.

Problem

When Portland-based musician Andrew Kallenberger wanted to promote his own brand of bass, he didn’t want no treble.  Creating promotional materials that were as integrated, exemplary and complex as his playing, the task was to make rhythmic sound into tactile branding.

Solution

When you’re a working musician, you need people to hear you.  Blast was tapped to create a brand that would reflect the artist and his music.  A tricked-out CD sleeve complete with business card and bio sheet were customized to showcase Kallenberger’s talents. Dynamic imagery, a tailor-made logo befitting an accomplished bassist, elegant packaging and all that jazz made for a harmonious musical arrangement.
